Who I help

My experience includes working with children, tweens and teens, adults, and parents navigating aggression, social and separation anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, big feelings, and life transitions. Supporting those affected by chronic illness or disability, as well as caregivers, holds an especially meaningful place in my heart.

How I work

Using evidence-based Child-Centered Play Therapy, I help children work through emotional challenges and difficult experiences like anxiety, divorce, illness, grief, and life transitions. Because caregivers are an important part of lasting change, I’ll also work alongside you to better understand your child, build on their strengths, and strengthen your connection through tools like Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.

What parents can expect

The very first session is the initial parent consultation session between the therapist and parents/ guardians. This session is held without the child present. You will have the opportunity to share any information you would like with me and learn more about what the counseling process will look like. After this session, therapy with your child/ teen can begin.

Parents are key players on this journey. I’ll check in during a parent consultation session every 5 or so weeks to share insights, strategies, and progress, ensuring you feel supported and involved every step of the way. These parent consultations are free of charge!
