Who I help

I work with children ages 3–10 and their families who may be navigating big emotions, tantrums, power struggles, impulsivity, aggression, anxiety, low self-esteem, social challenges, or difficulty with transitions and separation. Many parents come seeking support because their child’s behaviors feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to manage. Through Child-Centered Play Therapy and parent coaching, I help children build emotional regulation, emotional vocabulary, self-esteem, and a healthier understanding of themselves and their world.

How I work

My approach is grounded in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), which trusts that children have an innate capacity to communicate, explore, and work through their emotions and experiences through play. Rather than directing the child’s play, I provide a safe, accepting, and supportive environment where the child can lead and express what they are experiencing in their own way. I adapt each session to the child’s unique personality, developmental level, communication style, and individual needs, allowing their play to guide the therapeutic process. Over time, this relationship supports children in developing emotional regulation, emotional vocabulary, self-esteem, and a healthier view of themselves and their world.

What parents can expect

Getting started begins with a complimentary intake appointment where we learn about your child, understand your concerns, and identify goals for therapy. Parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapeutic process, and I provide ongoing parent coaching and support to help you understand your child’s emotional needs and respond in ways that support growth. I communicate regularly about your child’s progress while maintaining the privacy and trust of the child’s therapeutic space, focusing on overall themes, growth, and ways caregivers can support their child between sessions.
